Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Legal Officer to support the legal operations of our cooperative/financial institution and its affiliated entities. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring legal compliance, drafting business agreements, and providing legal advice to protect the organization’s interests and maintain ethical standards.
Job Responsibilities
Draft, review, and revise various types of contracts and business agreements (in Bahasa Indonesia and English) in compliance with prevailing laws and regulations.
Provide objective, analytical, and comprehensive legal opinions to support informed decision-making by management.
Conduct legal analysis and risk assessments on business documents, and recommend effective mitigation strategies.
Ensure the organization’s activities are in full compliance with both internal policies and external regulatory frameworks.
Engage in effective legal negotiations and discussions with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
Promote ethical business conduct and uphold good governance, professionalism, and accountability in all legal-related matters.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (S.H.) from a reputable university.
Minimum 2 years of proven experience working in the legal department of a bank, cooperative, or financial services company.
Strong understanding of Indonesian laws related to finance, cooperatives, and business operations.
Proven experience in contract drafting, legal risk identification, and compliance.
Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English, both written and spoken.
High integrity, strong commitment to organizational values, and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
